I'm trying to figure out what special things to do for DD 5th birthday at Disney. We arrive on the 12th of May and go to MK and have dinner at Chef Mickeys. The 13th (her birthday) I was thinking of taking her to BBB at MK. What else should we do? Where should we eat? This is our first trip!

Character meals are good. 1900 park Fare is my fave (B/D)
You might want to stop by city hall and pick up a bday pin for at MK. You can order bday cakes through the GF or YC/BC or Publix if you have a car.

Our favorite princess meal is Princess Storybook Dining (Akershus) in Norway.
It is 1TS credit on the DDP and a photo package is included. You get to see a total of 5 princesses. One for the picture and four that work the room.

You can also eat in the castle. That meal (B/L/D) is 2TS credits. Breakfast and lunch are various princesses and dinner is different, a show with the Fairy Godmother. You get a photo package with this meal too.

You will see lots of the little girls dressed up in princesses dresses for these meals, you don't have to do this, but lots do. Some have done BBB, some have not. When we do BBB, we bring our dress from home, so we don't need to do the most expensive package. My DD6 likes to wear hers in the park the day she does BBB.

You can order a cake to have at your meal at most of the TS restaurants. This is a link to the "cake thread" if you are interested in doing this.

Disney this year (for the what will you celebrate theme) has also added different items you can order. Here is the link to that.

My vote is CRT for breakfast or lunch after your BBB appt. My DD has loved it both times we have eaten there!

Aww I think she would love the castle!!! She would also love the Norway Princess meal. Aww have a fun!

Have you tried to get ressies for Cinderella's Table? That is pretty special! Also, are you on the DDP? If so, Cindy's Table is 2 dining credits each. HTH.

We took our DD to the castle on her 5th. The atmosphere was fab. The food was terrible. The service was terrible. Cinderella wished her a happy birthday and thanked her for visiting the castle. They are now the best of friends and we are the best parents. Just ask DD. She is planing to visit Cindy for her 7th as I type.

Since you're planning on being in MK that day, I'd do a meal at Crystal Palace. It has all the Winnie the Pooh characters and is very popular.

We're celebrating our girls' 6th bday in disney and are eating lunch at the Castle. I sure do hope this ends up being a good move. I need to look into things more, but I'd like the table a little bit decorated...maybe just the pixie dust things, doesn't really matter just as long as it's a little bit festive. In any event, I think the girls will feel very special eating in the Castle and hopefully the staff will make it special for them.

We celebrated our dd's 5th b-day at Disney two weeks ago. It was wonderful! It was a very memorable trip for our family.

Her favorite thing was the BBB. We did the one at DTD and they made dd feel so special. She was the only little girl there at the time. They put her in the front window of World of Disney so everyone walking by could see her makeover. She had her own personal photographer the whole time. She felt like a real princess. After two weeks and many shampoos, I am still finding pixie dust in her hair!

She also loved her night out at the Neverland Club at the Polynesian while we had dinner. She is still talking about it and asking to go back.

The one thing did not have a good experience with was the princess storybook lunch in Norway. The food was awful-the worst meal we have ever had at Disney in more than 15 trips! We did not have a princess come to our table until we were already having dessert, and then they came by so fast they barely had time for a quick photo and autograph. She got much better interaction with the princesses in toontown for free. I know others like this meal, it was just a bad choice for us.

Have a great birthday trip!

I took my daughter to the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort for her 5th Birthday. It was pricey, but the memories are price-less.

She also loved her birthday cupcake and placemat from Chef Mickey's

Wherever you decide to go, if you let them know it is your daughter's b-day they will do something special to help you celebrate

Enjoy your trip!!
