sorry, i hang out too much on the restaurant boards, chef de france!

Most of our waits were probably due to the fact we were a party of 7. We also only arrived 5-10 mins before our ADR time.

When we have been before with a smaller group longest wait was about 15 mins.

Think this has to do with the larger number 4 top tables compared to other size tables.

Another question within one thread ......... sorry.

I think someone on here said that disney are quite flexible ... for example if we go to The Wave restaurant, I do not think there is anything on the adult meal for my nephew ..... would he be able to eat off the children menu (for example chicken strips and potato wedges) but have an "adult size" portion? :goodvibes

although i have never tried this, there are reports on the rest boards that this has been allowed. remember the chefs at all wdw restaurants are very accomodating, and will mix "mix and match" remove or change dishes for patrons. i dont see why any child should be subjected to the awful kids menus, shudder, they really are dire:scared1:
could he not have chicken/steak with veg potatoes etc?

He is classed as an adult, therefore allowed an adult meal, but am slightly worried on some of the menu that he will not like the meals ... therefore if say the children meal for plain chicken and potato etc he would eat that :goodvibes

DW basically eats chicken and mash, baked tatties or chips, sometimes tries something different, sounds similar to your nephew. There was something in every restaraunt for her. Just ask if you don't see anything they will do something.

Oh thanks all :goodvibes Awkward with 12 year old boys, just wanted to be sure they are normally happy to oblige (as much as possible) :goodvibes

Yes, that's fine. We have this problem at a lot of table service restaurants. Despite my sister being 24, she regularly orders off the children's menu and gets an 'adult' portion. You just have to ask - they are pretty accommodating. One year, they even rustled up a pizza for her at HDD!! :rotfl:
