Hi,

We are renting points from a friend of a friend. We mentioned we may add on the dining plan. How long to we have to let him know and do we pay him directly or do we pay at the resort when we get there?? Thanks just wanted to have an idea on how long we have to decide before I call him.

Let the owner know a week ahead. You will need to pay for the dinning plan at check in to the resort. ALL people on the reservation must be on the DDP for ALL the nights.

Thanks so much....I was worried ...we are about 30 days out and I was hoping it wasn't a 30 day window. It is only 2 of us...so we will both being doing the dining plan for our entire stay.

That may be dependent on his availability to get your message about adding the plan, and then calling in to MS for you to make the add-on (if he's off in Europe when you decide, you may miss the "window" -- I think you're supposed to request the DDP at least 3 days in advance -- not sure what the cancellation policy is, if you decide you don't want it after all).

There are some convenience factors to consider, that may help off-set the cost (I'm going to try the QS one for the first time, for the extra snacks and to avoid the temptation to carry food into the parks with us, which I always have before -- I don't think I'm really going to save any money, but it will be a lot easier on me).

We've used the deluxe dining plan before...but I guess we are deciding between deluxe and regular. We usually stay through a package...this is the first time renting points. So last year we were there in August and I think it was just too much food with the heat. We talked about the basic this year because of that...however it won't be so hot so I'm not sure...maybe the deluxe again.

Contact the owner now and have them add the DDP now. Why wait and risk not having it added!
