ddp with the new reservation

so if I understand it correctly. the new reservation allows several reservation now to be put together.

so if you have DDP for AKV, then went to BLT. at present you would only pay for DDP at AKV. but with the new system you would pay for it at both AKV and BLT.

or am I missing something?

That was not my understanding but I haven't been following that closely. If you have a split stay type thing (even DVC) and definitely if it was 2 resorts because those couldn't be linked - you've always had to have two separate DDPs. Did you read that on the member site or somewhere that that's not true for DVC now?

the new system they are working on - Disney files - page 10 - (heading - wishes coming true -sub - new systems to streamline reservations)

they are changing the reservation system.

They are changing the reservation system, but there have been reports on the boards that even after the change a DDP can be for one portion of a split stay, like it is currently. Of course, this is preliminary info, and can change.

It sounds as if the reservations will still be separate, but viewable under a single itinerary number encompassing the entire stay.
