DDP with DVC

Not sure if I should post here or on the Dining Board...

I will be staying at AKV using my DVC points. I have decided to extend my stay by 1 day but I dont have the points so I will be renting them from another DVC owner.

If I use the dining plan do I need to use all of my credits by the end of my first reservation or can they roll into the 2nd?

If the two trips are linked (and you just ask MS to link them), they will be seamless and you will be charge for all the nights of your stay, not all the nights less one.

If the other member makes the reservation for you, just ask them to give MS your first reservation number to link them.

You might want a day with no DDP. It gives you a chance to use your left over credits before you go home.

so if your last day is a separate ressie and you opt not to purchase DDP for that day, your credits for the previous ressie are still good? I guess they would be good for the first night (end of the 1st check out day), but not on your final check out day.

They are good until midnight of your check out day for the first reservation.

Make sure that you keep your KTTW card.

BUT, you can't link the reservations AND that means you might have to move for the last night.

If I have the reservations linked, I will have to have the DDP for the full reservation?

If I only have the DDP for the first part of my reservation I cannot link them so I might have to change rooms?

I am on a waitlist for the last day of my trip what happens if I don’t get the same type of room so I have to change rooms or worse resorts Can I still link the reservations and carry over the credits or would they now be considered separate?

Any help would be appreciated…

I think you have it.

If you get a different category of room for that last night, you won't be able link them anyway. It would have to be a different reservation. And you DDP would be separate for the two stays.
