DDP vs Tables in Wonderland?

Hope the experts out there can give me some tips.
I would appreciate it very much!

In the past I have always done the Deluxe DDP
I only eat at Table service restaurants at WDW

I bought an Annual Pass in March (1st time)
I am wondering which is more economical:
Continue buying Dlx DDP, or buy a TiW card.

I do a regular TS breakfast & a Signature TS dinner each day of my trips.

If I buy a TiW card will it be cheaper in the long run then paying for the Dlx DDP?

Usually, I do pretty good when it comes to Dlx DDP.

I try to make my total for the day's meals go higher then what it cost for the DDP each day,
+ adding in the price of the snacks (as close to $5 as possible lol)
Eating at the Signatures is key to this, and choosing the highest priced meals.

Can I still eat at the TS restaurants I like including Signatures & end up paying less then the Deluxe DDP if I buy the TiW Card?

Thanks!

We are DXDP lovers and doing TIW. I can't see a way paying for the DXDP at full price that it is a better deal than TIW.

IMO the TIW card will win out monetarily every time.

We have never done a dining plan because there is just too much food and it seems like you have an obligation to use or lose it. We love the tables in wonderland card. Just renewed it again. But I can,t comment on the differences between the two. I just know that it more than paid for itself during the 10 days we were there in March. We ate at artist point, California grill, mays cafe, raglan road, Jiko and many others. We always get wine so that saves 20% on a bottle of wine right there. And we rarely get dessert or maybe share one among four of us. But the California grill alone saved over $50 or $60 with wine, a martini, a couple of appetizers, a couple of salad and a couple of entrees which we split among three people. Would we have eaten there anyway...sure. But I definitely appreciate the savings.

Do you normally eat the way the DxDDP is set up - everyone orders an app, entree and dessert or is it because this is the best way to cover the cost of the dining plan? We've used the DxDDP, but found that overall the TiW worked better for us because we could order what we wanted - share apps or desserts or sometimes have an app as an entree or share entrees.

With the Deluxe dining plan...whether I travel alone or with my 18 yr old DS.
I/we eat the way it's set up...app, entree, dessert.
Partly for both reasons...
1) Because it is set up that way
2) To get the most value out of the plan.

I do 2 meals /day...a TS breakfast & Signature dinner with the Dx DDP
During my March trip, I had a glass of wine every evening with dinner at the signatures, which I paid OOP for.
I have found that 2 good meals a day is plenty for me.

I'm just trying to figure out am I doing it wrong & spending more $$ on the DxDDP.
Would I save money using the TiW card....eating basically the same way?
Although if I buy the TiW card...when I Travel with my DS we MAY share an app & share dessert...depends on his appetite...lol.

It really isn't something that someone else can answer for you. You would need to sit down and do the math under both scenarios to get your answer.
