DDP tracking?

Going to WDW in Dec. with my DW, DS7, DS4 and DD2. I've been reading some posts and I'm wondering.

This will be the first time using the DDP and my question is are the credits tracked separately between children and adults.

For example we are staying for 7 nights so we will have 7 x 4 = 28 CS meals. If I go and order 3 adult chicken strip meals, does it show 11 adult CS remaining and 14 child CS remaining OR does it show 25 CS remaining.

How do the CS servers know whether you are ordering for an adult or child.

Just curious.

From what I've read, adult CS and child CS are still not separated. However, since an adult CS meal is valued at approximately $10-$13 and a child's CS meal is valued at $4-$5, I expect Disney will close that loophole soon, like they did with the TS credits. And I understand -- if you pay $11 a day for a child's meals it's not good business sense to allow those credits to be used for much larger and much more expensive adult meals. And not really ethical, either. Technical loopholes like that could eventually end up being the demise of the DDP if it proves to be too unprofitable for Disney. That would be a shame too -- we go to DL yearly, and they don't have ANYTHING like the DDP. :sad2:

My understanding, too, it that if your keycard shows 2 adults and 2 children (since the 2 year old isn't on the plan), you are not going to be able to ring up 3 adult CS credits at one time. What you could do is order the 2 adult meals, order the 2 kids' meals, and then share some from yours if they don't have enough to eat -- or use a snack credit to buy them something extra if they are still hungry and didn't get enough.

They know by what you order. If you order 3 adult CS meals, then 3 adult CS meal credits will be deducted from the credits given to you and your wife. Unless there is no kid's meal offered such as Pizza Planet, you will have to use Adult credits to purchase adult meals.

They don't care who eats them, they care how they are billed.
