Ddp + tiw?

We will be AP holders as of this trip (yay!)
Is it worth it to have a Tables In wonderland card if you are on the dining plan? I'm a little uneducated on the TIW.

The TIW card will give you 20% off all alcoholic beverages, so if you are a drinker it might pay. Also if you are planning on going back within the next 12 months, and not getting the dining plan, it might be worth it.

The break even point I believe is about $350. So if you plan to spend that out of pocket, then it might be worth it. It does cover alcohol, and gives you free valet parking when you are dining at resorts.

We already had our card and used it for one vacation and will do another full one in early August, so we got our money's worth from it.

I have been told that you can use the card towards alcohol and appetizers even though you have the DDP.

I hope so as this will help some as I like wine with my meals. Every little bit helps.

I know we will spend more mone4y on food then the dining plan gives us (2 growing and growing boys), so it may cut down our OOP.
Plus, momma needs a cocktail sometimes!!

Well, this momma needs her cocktails too! We used it last year (TIW card) for trips. Two of the trips were off the DDP and one was on. I was surprised at how much we used it on the Plan. Obviously for cocktails but also for salads. When I eat ts, I do enjoy having a salad. I am not sure it would have paid for itself that trip though, however I had made my money on it the other two trips. One thing to consider, if you have a place or two like say Sci Fi or the Plaza that you want to do but not sure you want to burn the credits on, you can pay OOP and use the card for that. We did that and it was nice to enjoy the atmosphere of Sci Fi, we shared a couple of meals, for a very early lunch then had our late dinner on the Plan.

There are also a couple of places in AK that still take it (cs places) and also the All Star Food Courts (and Pop's and FQ's). It was nice to use it there for some meals we paid OOP on.
