Hello Experts, Here is my question:
In 2 weeks :yay: we will be Home. Our party is 4 adults on the DDP. I will have an AP and I am purchasing the TiW card to pay for things like adult beverages, appetizers etc.
For our meals we have 2 adults joining us, who are staying offsite and are not on the DDP.
I am wondering how we can split up the checks so that I can keep track of who owes what.
Will the restaurants allow the following:
6 guests, 4 on DDP with TiW check for any added expenses AND separate check for 2 additional adults, also with TiW card. In a perfect world what I would like is 2 separate checks, both paid with the same credit card and TiW discount. Is this possible, or will I have to have all drinks, appetizers and the 2 extra mealsall on one check?
I hope my question makes sense :rotfl:
TIA

Disney can easily split the check between the 4 adults on DDP and the 2 adults not on the DDP. ALSO, the server will ask if the entire party is on the DDP, they may even recommend the split check themselves. Just be sure that the 4 adults on DDP assuming its 2 couples, that the server gets a key from each adult representing a party.

BTW, the check can even be split 3 ways to ensure each party (again assuming 6 adults means 3 couples) pays for any extra's themselves.

Hope this helps...enjoy your trip.

It helps a little, but there is more to my question.
I was pretty certain we could have seperate checks.
It will be 4 adults 1 check (DH and I are treating DS and his GF) The wild card is that we will have extras - appetizers and drinks - already as one check. Now I want a separate check for the entire cost of the extra 2 adults.
The trick, I want to pay for both of these checks with 1 credit card and the TiW discount for both. Is this do able?

It sounds like you realize that you will be getting two separate checks for your immediate family, right? One will be the DDP portion and the other will cover the extras with the TiW discount.

I am not sure of this but I think unless you have two TiW cards, you are limited to one check for TiW. Remember the stuff about maximum ten people on a check/TiW card? But it may very well be up to the discretion of the manager at the individual restaurant.

However since you intend to pay with one credit card anyway, why not just do the math on your own after the fact. The TiW bill will be itemized.

Thanks BCV23, we can do that. Actually that was DH's plan. In my feeble brain I thought the other would be easier.
The complexity of the story is that DH and I are treating DS and his GF to this week, including the DDP. We want to cover the appetizers, beverages and tip for this too. But now GF's parents will be joining us for meals and she is paying for them. I was hoping to help her out with this with the TiW discount.
Oh whatever happened to my simple plan for a week's vacation :rotfl2:

You are not supposed to be able to get separate checks and use one TiW for card for both checks.

We are a family of 5 and we were traveling with a family of 4. When we got to 50's PTC, we couldn't be seated all together, but we were seated in the same "room." Our original plan was to use the TiW card and put everything on one bill, then figure it out later. That way, our friends could benefit from the discount. Because we were at separate tables, it got complicated. Luckily, we both had the same server. She had to get permission from the manager, but eventually she was able to give both tables the discount.

I didn't know you could use DDP for the meal and then TIW for drinks and appetizers?:confused3 If so, that would make TIW worth it:)

Only if you spend more than $375 on the TiW purchases. That only covers the cost of the card. Anything over that will be savings.

Here's how it worked for us.

We had 5 adults and 2 children on DDP and 1 child we paid OOP for because he was under 3.

It was always 3 checks.
1 families DDP
Family 2 DDP
Anything else OOP with TIW card.

That's the only way they split it up. All of the TiW stuff has to be on one bill. I suggest that you set it up so that one of you pays the other for the OOP expenses.
