Can you tip the amount you want, or does it tell you how much tip is due?

They give you a "suggested amount"... They list tip at 18% and 20%... There is an option to choose the 18% or 20% amount or write in the amount you want to give...That is, if you charging it.

thanks - is it just me or . . . ? I have a hard time tipping upwards of $30 for a $150 dinner!

Well, what dollar amount would be comfortable to you?
20% = $30
18% = $27
15% = $22.50
10% = $15
0% = $0

Standard tipping in a restaurant is 15%-20%, 15% being quite obviously the low end. Diners who do not have a hard time leaving $22.50 (in the example above) might consider a meal ranging in value from $112.50 to $125.

You can tip whatever amount you wish, unless there are 6 or more people in your party. Parties of 6 or more pay an automatic gratuity of 18%.
