No, but that doesn't mean it has to sabotage your diet. A regular restaurant salad is pretty high in fat and calories unless you don't have them dress it at all. You'd be more likely to eat the entire salad than you would be to clean your plate at the dessert course. If you enjoy desserts, then order sensible meals and order a dessert to "taste." You can always bring the leftover dessert back to the room.
When we at at Whispering Canyon Cafe, my husband was too stuffed for a "real" dessert after we had the skillet for dinner. For
dessert", he got a lovely fruit plate with a lot of variety and a yogurt-cream cheese dip of some kind. He really couldn't even finish the fruit so we took it back to the room to have for the next day for breakfast. I packed granola bars & Nutrigrain bars for in-room breakfast and it was sooo yummy the next day! I think taking advantage of a fruit offering is a great choice because it's kind of hard otherwise to get in some fresh fruit, unless you buy some as a snack or take it along with you/have it in the room.
All you can do is ask, it never hurts. I have also learned that when I am starting to get full, I stop so that I may enjoy Dessert, I am starting to learn that I don't have to eat everything on the plate, just enjoy what I do eat.
