No. As Paulh said, it has to be for the entire length of your stay, which is a standard DDP rule.
The only differences with DVC are 1) you don't pre-pay, you pay at checkin; and 2) you don't have to buy park tickets you don't need. So...if you are going to need park tickets, you can save a little by ordering them from a discount site rather than paying Disney direct.
