DDP Questions

Hi! I have two quick questions about the DDP for those of you in the know

First, DF and I will have it noted on our reservations that it is our honeymoon, not that I am expecting anything, but if we were to get a special surprise dessert, would we also be able to order our desserts that come with the dining plan? I might not be able to eat two desserts, but would hate to miss out on a dessert I was looking forward too if the surprise dessert wasn't that great.

Second, I know that the DDP is a lot of food, or so almost everyone has said. I read on one thread that a poster was unable to get their dessert to go, and was made to eat it in the restaurant, because they were on the DDP (I believe this was at Olivia's). Is this common or should we be able to take our desserts/leftovers to go? I may not be able to eat all that food and would like to be able to take it back to the room for snacks or such.

Olivia's has a unique policy. I wouldn't worry about it. It's pretty uncommon.

I would recommend that you call the restaurants directly. It's unlikely anyone is going to microscopically examine hundreds of reservations in a day to see which ones are enjoying special celebrations...and if anyone does, they won't be working the day you go there.

On another thread, someone posted that if you notify Coral Reef ahead of time, they do a nice recognition thing with a diver in the tank. That's free, and would be a fun thing to do. While you're at the Living Sea, I'd let the CMs at "Turtle Talk with Crush" know the happy news. You never know what Crush will say, Dude!

As far as the amount of food, don't worry about it. Nobody will put a gun to your head and force you to eat it. Just relax and enjoy.
