ddp question

if i check in on 2/25/12, am I given my ddp credits at that time ? Check out for me is 2/29/12, would i be able to use those credits through 2/29/12, I am only staying for 4 nites, however, will I have use of these credits for 5 days ?

Yes you can use it till midnight the day you check out. They're good for all 5 days

wow, that is great to hear, than i guess good deal, because the day i get there, i have a luau poly which uses 2 meals right off the bat, but being i have the ddp, that means after that, i would still have 10 meals left, is that right being they ddp, gives 3 meals per person per day and 2 snacks, right ?

Do you have the Deluxe Dining Plan? That will give you 3 meals/day and 2 snacks/day, plus refillable mug. Multiply by 4 nights and that totals 12 meals and 8 snacks. Deduct 2 credits for Luau, and you have 10 meals left.

If you have regular Dining Plan, you would have 1 TS, 1 CS and 1 Snack per day, plus refillable mug. Multiply by 4 nights and that totals 4 TS, 4 CS and 4 Snacks. Deduct 2 credits for Luau, and you have 2 TS, 4 CS and 4 Snacks left.

Credits expire at midnight on check-out day.

guess i just get confused with 4 nites, i'm thinking that your credits must have to be used by end of the 4th nite, but in my case being i don't arrive till late afternoon the 1st nite,am glad to know i'll have the credit to use till the end of my 5th day, ( even if I check into another resort ) i can still use those credits till the end of that 5th day , yes?

Yes! We did a split stay, and we did just that. That way, credits left on your last day won't be wasted.

this is so good to know, thanks again, have a few meals planned, knowing this, going to try and make a couple more, wanted to spend some time around the hotel and pools ( if warm enough ) I guess i can order food and count as a meal also.

OP did you book the DELUXE DINING PLAN or the REGULAR DINING PLAN?

The DXDDP does give you three TS credits, 2 snacks each night and refillable mug.

The DDP only gives you 1 TS and 1 QS and 1 snack each night. (In 2012 you also get a refillable mug).

Please check to see which plan you have purchased.

It appears the OP has booked the Deluxe Dining Plan.

Usually DDP = Disney Dining Plan, meaning the regular plan and DXDP or DXDDP means the deluxe plan, but she is using DDP to mean Deluxe Dining Plan.

The deluxe dining plan allots three meal credits and two snack credits per person per NIGHT, not per day. If you are staying 4 nights each person will receive 12 meal credits and 8 snack credits.

Your dining credits expire at midnight AFTER you have checked out of your resort. For example, a party checking out on February 29 has until midnight on that day to use the credits, so they will be useable for all of February 29, but cannot be used on March 1.

If you are checking into another resort, be sure you keep the key cards from the first resort to pay for meals on the transition day.
