DDP Question

I am renting DVC point and have had the DDP added on to my reservation. I am wondering of anyone knows if you can pay for this when you check in using a Disney Gift Card?

Yes. Don't do on-line check-in. If you do, the CC your enter will be charged for the DDP.

Yes, you can. I did that in August. If you do online check in, do not enter a CC# in or they will charge it to that before you arrive.

I made that mistake. They were able to fix it for me, but told me it could take weeks for the credit to show up (but that only took a few days).

I think I am all set, I will buy a Disney Gift Card for $1200 and use that when I check in to pay for the dining plan. In the mean time I will get my rewards to spend on super yummy drinkies and treats for the kiddies

Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread .....but we are renting pts from a DVC who is adding dining plan to reservation. We paid at time of check in last year but I would like to be able to pay ahead of time. Can we do an online check in and if so can I pay for dining plan then?

No, DVC members are not charged until check in and currently, you can not pay ahead of time (although there is talk that sometime in the spring this might come in to play).

If you do online check in and put in the CC#, then it will be charged the night before you arrive so when you get there, it will be all set.

I wish it could be taken care of ahead of time....like having everything paid way before we arrive.
