This is the first time we have had the dining plan so my question is as follows.

Is their a "special" menu for DDP people? I ask this because I doubt they would allow a 8 people to order the 21.99 kitchen sink (im not doing this) but just wondering if this would make Disney make a special DDP menu?

Is this correct or can you choose whatever you want?

Thanks

There are occasional limitations, but for the most part, you just order what ever you want.

The only thing we ever encountered was limitations on what drinks were considered included, i.e. no specialty drinks.

It really is a good way to try some new (and expensive!) foods.

Happy planning!

Is it possible for one person on the dining plan to order the kitchen sink as a dessert?

You'd think there'd be limitations on that one.

no, I was just using it as an example.

Another one I saw was an 18.99 sampler at Tony's. Just wanted to know if thoe were available if someone did want to get them or if there was a seperate menu for DDP guest.

Many times items that are intended for multiple guests ARE excluded.

In 2005 we were able to chose a dessert sampler for two people, but it had to count as dessert for two people. Not sure if they still allow that.

You would have to ask and then be flexible to choose another item if they say no. :)

I have heard some add-ons are not included also, like if a place had a lobster tail add-on, but again I guess you would have to ask.

Kid's items that had an upcharge, for example the kid's steak at Le Cellier, WERE available on the DDP in Sept.07, at no extra cost.

Many things are changing for '08, so always ask. :wizard:

I know that speciality drinks are not supposed to be included, but at Le Cellier and Kona I was able to get smoothies as my drink.

I was able to get a smoothie at Chef Mickeys in '05, but not '07. :confused3

May depend on the server.
The time we could get it, it was made clear there were no refills.

For what it's worth, the pina colada smoothie (non-alcoholic) at Chef Mickeys is AWESOME, out of pocket or not! :thumbsup2

That was just last month when I got the smoothies. I had the orange-passion fruit one at Kona, and a chocolate-raspberry one at Le Cellier, both were very good.
