Can I use Table Service Credits to cover someone else's meal?

Staying at Disney for 3 nights x 3 people = 9 TS credits. My in-laws are meeting us for a day in the parks so can I make use my credits to pay for their meal? i.e. use 5 TS credits. or are they tied to names on the reservation?

No, the rules of the dining plan make it cleear that you cannot use your credits for anyone who is not on the dining plan. Also, when you go to the TS restaurant the server will see that your plan is for a specific number of adults and children on your resort reservation so you can only redeem that number of adult/kids credits.

From the Disney Dining Plan brochure:
You may not redeem meals or snacks for any Guests who are not on your Disney Dining Plan.
