DDP question re: tax and tip

ok, I know that the tip is not included (except may at CRT correct?), but is tax included with the DDP?
and when you go to leave a tip, can you just put it on your KTTW card?

The DDP takes care of tax. Tip you must pay and I am pretty sure you can put it on your KTTW card.

There is a sticky about tipping and the DDP at the top of the forum. Please check there for official advice. As I am sure a mod will be along shortly to close this thread and refer you there.

Yes, tax is included, tip is not.

If you have less than 6 people in your party, there will be 2 suggested tip amounts at the bottom of your check 1) 18% 2) 20% (the exact amounts will be given).

Parties of 6 or more, an automatic tip of 18% calculated and shown at the bottom of the bill. You can charge that to your room, or leave cash at the table. If you choose cash, make sure you write "CASH" on the tip line of your check.

From what I understand, the amounts at the bottom are only "suggestions" and are there for people who can't do math.

You are free to tip as you wish.
You can tip the customary 15% if you wish.
Some people want to tip less for buffets since they are getting their own food. If the server is good at clearing my many plates, they deserve a full tip!
All as you wish.

Even with parties of more than six, I think you can "challenge" the 18% tip if you have good reason.

And I do believe the suggested tip at the bottom is based on the cost of the food, not including tax. (I hope so!)

thanks- I must be totally overlooking the tip thread because I just checked and still don't see it...maybe I need another cup of coffee!

Only 4 of us, and I'm not as concerned about how MUCH to tip, we know how to figure that out, more concerned about whether or not we can put the tip on the KTTW card!
