We will have a local friend join us for a few dinners while we are at WDW. My family is on the free dining plan, but I am not a big eater and am wondering if it matters who gets the credits for the meals? Can I defer my credit to my friend who is joining us and I just pay for my smaller meal out of pocket?

I am pretty sure that they can only run as many people as are in your party, since it's marked on your KTTW.

yes, you can.

The PP is saying that if you have 2 adults and 3 kids in your party your KTTW card will say 2A 3C and that's the max number of meals you can pay for at any one sitting.

If you have a table of 3 adults (you and your friend) and 3 children you can by all means pay for the more expensive meals with the dining plan and pay for your meal (or whichever adult meal is cheapest) OOP

Yes you can thats not a problem as long as one of the meals is payed OOP it wont matter which meal so would make sense to use the credit for the most expensive meals :thumbsup2

Disney says you can't use your credit to buy him a meal. But once the meals are ordered, they don't care who eats them. Switch with the OOP meal.

What if you have everyone on the dining plan and you have one person not on it. Could you all share? We have 2 adults and 2 kids on the DxDP and we'll have a few meals with one person not on the plan who is not a big eater. Could we all share or do we have to order OOP for that person?
