Ddp Payment Method

Hi, we are doing the DDP when we arrive next month. Can I pay with a personal check or does it have to be cash/credit card?

Also, do you know if you can pay for the incidental room purchases at the end of the trip with a check?

I believe you can pay with any payment method accepted by the hotel.

Personal checks are accepted.

Last time I went we were able to link our credit card to our room keys, but nothing was actually charged until check out. At check out we had the choice of paying cash, check or charge. That was in 2002 though. In 2006 we did not charge anything to the room.

That is still true EXCEPT for the DDP. You must pay for the DDP when you check in.

Have a credit card as a backup. There was someone who posted a few months ago that their check would not authorize and they had problems.
