(We are staying on property for 2 nights over Easter, Sat-Mon)

I thought I had sworn off the DDP forever now that my pickey eater is 3 and has to be included in the dining plan...until I realized the cost of 2 TS meals on Easter Sunday! When I add the cost for brunch at Chef Mickey and dinner at Cape May Cafe (prices are increased for the holiday) we are only spending $38.09 for 10 QS meals, 10 snacks, and 5 mugs. Can't beat that!

It did take me 2 calls to find a CM who knew how to make my room only reservation a "ticketless package" by adding the dining plan, but that's fine, I'll take a little inconvienence on my end for such great savings!

This is exactly what we're doing! We haven't used the dining plan in years, and we have TIW. But TIW is blocked on Easter, so we ran the numbers for the dining plan and for this limited time only, it works! So I need to call and add the deluxe dining plan to our room-only reservation too (we have APs.) Did they have to refund your room-only deposit first, or were they able to add the cost of the plan?

They canceled my room only and refunded the deposit then I paid the new ressie in full because I'm close to the 45 day mark.

We did this same thing at Christmas! I must warn you though....it was a bit addicting. It has been sooo long since we used the plan, I kind of forgot about ordering what ever you want. You want this $5.50 Elsa cupcake?.....sure, it's a snack credit! We are doing it again, for our February trip, I ran the numbers at least 5 times but it's actually saving us more than TIW! I guess WDW has increased their prices that much!

Wow! Congratulations! That is great. How do they make a "ticketless package"?
Have a great trip.

Ticketless package just means room plus the dining plan, but they then make you follow the rules of a package for deposit, cancellation window and payment in full date. With a room only, you can cancel up to something like 5 days prior, but a package is 45 days. If the CM on the phone says you can't put a DDP on a room only, try using the phrase "ticketless package" to see if they can look it up, of else you'll need to get a new CM.

Thanks for the reply. I have an AP, so I can get DDP with that, but don't usually. I didn't know they had "ticketless packages". Is that new? Good to know. Is the purpose to allow more people to get DDP? That is a really nice option for people who like and want the DDP.

Is a "ticketless package" only an option for AP holders, or can anyone request that?

Just curious, how were you able to find the holiday prices? I booked the DXP and when I looked at the menu prices I did an estimate and it looks as if when all is said and done its close probably with snacks we will be saving money. With holiday pricing I'm sure it's a greater savings. Would love to check it out.

Emilik: anyone can book a "Ticketless Package" you just have to find the right cast member. Like I said, it took me 2 calls.

KEPE: I based my calculations on last years prices (found them online) so I'm probably saving even more since I'm sure prices are going up :)
