DDP/Not DDP Questions

My husband and I are going to be in WDW in a few weeks (YEAH!) and we are on the dining plan while there. I have a friend who lives in Tampa and is going to be in Orlando for a conference. She wants to join us for dinner a couple of nights. Can she join us for dinner and not be on DDP, while we are? She is not staying on site that I know of. Any info would be helpful.

It is really no problem. We had that happen before. She will just pay for her meal and you will use the DDP for yours. Just tell the waiter so he can handle it appropriately in the system at the beginning of the meal.

We've never had a problem. In December, we had 13 people at some meals. We just told the server which groups were together and which were using DDP. I would suggest telling your server up front so he or she knows.

Thank you for that info.We would like to pay for her dinner so we will tell the maitre de to let the waiter know that we will be paying cash for our guest's meal.
