DDP - must all credits be used on check?

We are trying to get bang for the buck on our ding credits. Is it possible to get one meal with the credits (all the expensive items no doubt) and tell them which to charge normally? Is it a real pain for the servers?

I am not sure about the rules surrounding this, but my guess would be that it might depend on the restaurant you are in and the server you have. They can probably accomodate you more likely if you are using a credit for one person's meal and not one person's dessert, one person's entree and another person's appetizer. Maybe just have one person order the expensive items that you want and then share?

The Dining Plan rules prohibit use of child meal entitlements for adult meals. As long as the split you're considering couldn't be construed as being for that purpose, then you shouldn't have a problem specifying which items should be covered by the Dining Plan versus which items should be covered by cash/room-charge. So you aren't allowed to pay cash for the child meals and use the credits for adult meals, but you are allowed to pay cash for some of the adult meals you order, if that is what you wish.

If our party were just 2 adults, and we wanted to eat 2 TS meals a day, I would do this in a heartbeat. I'm a vegetarian, who rarely orders a beverage other than water (or an adult drink, which is outside the plan anyway). My carnivorous dh has to have his diet coke (even if he has an adult drink, too). The most bang for our buck would definitely be him using 1 credit for each meal, me ordering the vegetarian entree (always the least expensive item on the menu anyway), and sharing the appetizers and desserts. This would truly be an indulgent and relaxing vacation. Hmm, how many years until the kids are grown? :scratchin

We are looking at Signature credits - one person will clearly get the money's worth for the two credits, the other will not order an entree expensive enough to waste the two credits, let alone two appetizers and two desserts at either CG or BD is too much - not trying to cheat the system. ;)

As long as both people are adults, you shouldn't have any problem. Have a great time!

Our last night at California Grill we had 6 table service credits left. There are 6 of us. So, we used the for 3 of our meals. We are all dining adults. Our server (Ron) did all the math for us - he applied the 3 most expensive appetizers, meals and desserts to the DDP and we paid for the rest. My daughter (10 years old) ate a children's meal that night, so it worked out that we of course, paid for that one, and the soup appetizers, the sushi and cheese board was on the DDP. We pretty much knew which ones we would apply anyway, but he took care of it all.
