Does anyone know if you have split reservations, moving from one resort to another, if you can get the dining plan for just one part of the stay? Our upcoming trip in Dec, we move from SSR to BCV then back to SSR with three seperate reservations (not by choice). Would like to get DDP for the first 2 ressies but not the third. Can it be done? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Yes, each stay is a separate reservation. You can add the DDP to any of them without the others. Each plan will be separate, and will end at midnight on the day of checkout from each resort.

If they are all points reservations, you should have no problem.

With a cash reservation, you might have to buy a package with tickets to get dining plan added, but points reservations have no ticket purchase requirements for DDP.

You guys are the best! Thanks for the info. I  DISboards!

That's the only way the we will do the DDP. Too much food for us if we do the entire stay.

We usually do the DP that way. Our stays are often split, because we have guests for one part and move down to a 1 bedroom when it is just the 2 of us. We usually do the DP when it is just 2 of us.

We did it that way before and will do it agian!! It was great, we stayed at OKW for 3nights- brought some food with us then split stayed over to BCV. It was very nice to walk to all our dinning ressies within Epcot and BC. We didn't feel it was too much food because it was only part of our trip!!:)

I agree but I'll add that if you get it for both, it is actually two separate plans and each set of credits must be used for the days of that stay. All credits are not available for the entire stay. You just need to use up the creidts from the first portion of the stay by MN on the change over day.

As for which portion to get the DDP, it depends on when you're arriving, when you're departing and what restaurants you have reserved. You want to do the more expensive single credit options with the DDP and do the signatures and cheaper options for the non DDP portion.

We used DDP for our first ressie at Beach Club and took advantage of it by eating at the premium restaurants (2 Table meals each) which we believe offers the best dollar value for the plan.
When we moved to AKL, we were concierge and didn't need DDP with all the snacks and food available.
It worked well for us. However, we have decided we won't use DDP anymore because we would rather try out the appetizers than the desserts!

I think if you'll look at the specifics you'll see the best value at the top end non signature options like Capt Jack for Lobster or Le Cellier for steak. For signatures, there are precious few options that offer a good return of value. Narcoossee's for Lobster or Surf and Turf likely top the list. Mousesavers did have a value comparison, don't know if they still have it up.
