Ok I'm sure this question has been asked somewhere on here but I searched and couldn't find it :confused3

Anywho, we are planning a trip next June. DS will be 2 and 1/2 at the time...is there a way to purchase a dining plan for him even though he won't be 3 years old?

The only way is to register him as 3 years old, but if you're on a package reservation and you're not an annual passholder you will have to buy him a park ticket. Might not be worth it.

Here's something to keep in mind. At fixed price restaurants he eats for free. Lots of people end up with extra snack credits to use up at the end of their trips so at CS locations if the food you're ordering isn't enough that you can share off everybody else's plates (and frequently it will be) then use a snack credit to buy some additional side for him or buy him a piece of fruit to supplement (whole fruit is maybe $1.30 with tax). Buy him a kids meal only when he won't like what you and your DH are eating or when you just don't think it'll be enough food.

Basically, it's likely cheaper to pay OOP for the few times you do need to buy him a kids meal or snack than it is to pay for a ticket and dining plan for him. If you eat at a lot of fixed price TS meals then you're definitely ahead by not buying a dining plan for him.

Ahhhh...I was afraid of that! Ok thanks! :thumbsup2

At most places (both counter service and table service), the portion sizes are so big, that you will have no trouble sharing with a 2 year old.

You may wish to purchase a cup of soup or a side of fruit here and there, but you will probably not need to order a separate meal.

At all the buffets and family style restaurants, a two year old can eat to his heart's content for free.

DD will only be 22 months when we go. We have the QSDDP and I bought one for her too. What I did though was just book using one day tickets. We will upgrade when we get there and save hers for a future visit. I have no intentions of eating toddler food on my vacation. Though she eats what we eat at home for the most part. She can eat a whole kids meal to herself (and barely weighs a thing!) already so I figured it would be best this way.
