Was thinking of a DDP for a solo F&W 2 night trip and was wondering what would be a good use of time x money. It seems like I could make good use of the snack credits and utilize my TS/CS credits outside my park days. Would it make sense to get a dining plan, especially if I want to fit in a nice brunch or dinner?

Outside the parks, I'll have time for two meals, probably breakfast or lunch. In the parks, I'll only have 1 day (or less) in Epcot** and an afternoon- midnight for MNSSHP.

I'm sure I could price it up to see if I save on money (and will), but I was wondering if the following would "save" me any time? And if QSDDP or DDP would be better?

Day 1:
Nice brunch/lunch outside the parks on TS/CS.
Dinner: Nosh on something small or random in the MK OOP/CS

(EEKS HELP!) Day 2:
Breakfast: a piece of fruit perhaps and some tea to leave room for F&W!
Epcot F&W for early lunch to beat some crowds - snack credits
If in Epcot near dinner time, a dinner that lets me get away from the crowds and rest my feet. If tummy is too full or outside Epcot, who knows? TS/CS

Or should I reverse this and hit up an in park breakfast or lunch and the F&W after 7pm? Is the same selection available and were the lines any shorter? I'm willing to miss the concert.

Or do I enjoy F&W more, with perhaps a nice afternoon break to sit down with a tasty beverage or see if a table service would take a dessert only walk up/Res? (Do they do that in WDW like WDL Blue Bayou?) This appeals but I'm not sure what this would do to the value of the DDP.

Day 3:
A later brunch with some ambiance to cap off this quick trip! TS/OOP

I'm inclined to say DDP might be worth it if I spent some of the TS outside the parks and eat during unusual hours in the parks, so I can utilize my limited park time. DxDP seems like overkill for me, except for a few extra snack credits when the most expensive F&W items are ~ $7? Based on the 2009 menus, I think I'd end buying 3-5 F&W items with an average of $5 per item.

** Ahhh, and this brings into mind a park hopper. Solo, will have car, been to WDW before, and likely just to do a quick assault on specific things with a touring plan. I think I can fit in 2 parks :) There's always sleeping on the plane! But perhaps I should add the hopper option at guest services on the day of?

I'm looking at a slightly similar question - we're planning a 3-night weekend on the last days of F&W. I am hungry just thinking about it :) But what I'm trying to figure out is DDP vs. QSP. We - well, my husband; it doesn't matter a lick to me - like having one sit-down meal, as we are on vacation. But now I am leaning heavily toward the latter (QSP) because of the amount of snacks we would have available for F&W (12 vs 24!!) I kinda think we could all be very happy to live off of the magical deliciousness of the F&W 'snacks' and fast food for 4 days. I'm actually hard pressed to believe we could plow through that much food! Okay, yes we could. :rotfl:

I'll post this elsewhere, but to anyone reading this -- I know we used many snack credits from our DDP last year toward F&W foods, but were we just lucky? Do all the International Food & Wine booths accept snack credits for (all) the little appetizers? I am truly salivating at the thought...:cloud9:
