My family and I are planning another trip in 2016 and we would love to get the DDP again I am just wondering what they changed in it. If I get @ adults and 2 children ( who will be age 9 at time of travel) will they still have to order off the kids menu not sure how the pricing effects everything. Please help

Prices only went up a couple of dollars across the board. The brochure still states "Guests 3-9 must order off a kid's menu where available," so we don't have an answer to this one yet.

Took appetizers off the TS meals.
Check out the sticky. They're back on the brochure for the Deluxe plan.

OP, some people use different acronyms. Are you asking about the regular Disney Dining Plan or the Deluxe Dining Plan? Either way, sharonabe is right about the brochures saying kids have to order of kids' menus where available, but there are rumors of potential changes for the Deluxe plan and the QS meals of the regular plan. Kids definitely have to order from kids' menu for regular plan TS meals unless you upgrade them to Disney adults.

I've noticed that a lot of locations at Downtown Disney were withdrawn from the quick-service dining plan. Does anyone know if this is temporary, or if it will remain like this through 2016?

It happens every year. The third party (non-Disney) restaurants will start popping onto the brochure in small batches between now and December (and sometimes even early January). Just give it some time, and don't be concerned. Odds are very good the same restaurants that participated in 2015 will carry over to 2016.

The kids, if age 9 at travel (or paid for the kids dining plan) will have to order off the kids menu. Some restaurants don't have one, and for those, the kids will have pretty much free reign on the menu, but otherwise it's a rather restricted menu that, in many cases, doesn't even reflect the venue itself, and there's a lot of repetition (meaty macaroni will become a staple dish for your kids, I suspect...<wink>). But, my kid never seemed to mind. Then again, she could live off a strict diet of Chicken Nuggets and ketchup if her mother and I would allow her too!

Ok. Thanks for the quick reply!

What about places like Les Halles Boulangerie and Katsura Grill? They were taken out of the brochure too. Are they third party?

I was looking at the 2016 dining plans also, and also the online menus - trip planned for next Spring. Even on the website, the Les Halles Boulangerie shows as only "Snack", there is no "Lunch" or "Dinner"...is that also normal while they are still getting contracts signed with third parties?

The "Snack" menu lists entrees and the site states that Les Halles accepts the 2015 dining plan for meals. As others said, no reason to be worried yet.

I noticed that a lot of the restaurants in Epcot are not listed in the 2016 DDP but are in the 2015 DDP. Is this unusual for many of them to drop off?

Many restaurants that are not owned by Disney are added later in the year.
Thank you for the response. Forgive my ignorance but aren't the ones in the parks owned by Disney? I could understand the ones outside of the parks at Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island/Disney Springs or ones at on property non-Disney resorts. Am I just naïve on that topic?

Most World Showcase restuarants are also third party operated.
