DDP, Fantasmic and Candlelight

OK, I'm sure this has been asked before - but I can not recall the answer.
On Disney Dining Plan (Basic not Deluxe)
going to Fantasmic Package - Mama Melrose
and Candlelight Package - Chefs de France
do you receive appetizer?
I know on DDP no appetizer, but these are packages, do they reduce the package offering because you are paying with the dining plan?
Just want to be sure I give my (large) group the right info.

In the past the Fantasmic Dining Package has had the appetizer. There are reports that they still do as of now. However, some are suspicious that may change in a few weeks because the Candlelight Processional Package does not include the appetizer.

So...
Fantasmic - Yes
Candlelight - No

The unfairness of this is why some believe that Disney will remove the Appetizer from the Fantasmic Package. That way it'll be more fair.

Disney has been very specific that no appetizer is included for adults who are paying with the basic dining plan for the Candlelight Processional package.

There is nothing written about the Fantasmic package. In the past if you booked that at Brown Derby or Mama Melrose with basic dining, you got the appetizer. Fairly recent reports state the appetizer is still included. Fairly recent rumors state that the appetizer will be removed from the Fantasmic package for basic dining plan customers at the end of the year if not before.

Perhaps I'll just tell everyone in my group apps are out of pocket for both. Then if they are available on plan for Fantasmic it will be a nice surprise.
