I've been going round and round all day trying to decide what is the best way to go for my upcoming trip. We (me, DD14, DS12) are staying 14 nights, currently have a package booked with DDP and 1 day base tickets. I have all my ADR's done and they are heavy on TS restuarants - I have 20 TS credits planned and, obviously, only 14 TS credits available on the DDP to spend.

Because we are staying so long, I've decided to get annual passes, which means I would be eligible for the DDE, but I also want to consider upgrading to the deluxe or premium plan. I have been looking all over and can't find the difference in daily prices for the basic DDP, deluxe, and premium. Do any of these plans give you 2 TS credits per day?

I need to figure out what route gets me all the food/meals I want at the least out of pocket cost.

It's confusing

I'm no expert but here goes,
Basic DDP $37.99 for adults $9.99 for ages 3-9
Deluxe DDP $69.99 for adults $19.99 for ages 3-9
The basic plan gives each person a CS, TS(entree and dessert, no appetizer) and snack per day. You have to also pay the tip.
The deluxe plan gives each person 3 credits and 2 snacks per day. You use those 3 credits as you wish. All TS, 2 TS with 1 CS, all CS, whatever you want. You can also use, or "trade in" if you will 2 credits for a signature restaurant, 1 dinner show or private dinning. Each person will also get a refillable mug. You have to pay for tips also.

I don't know about the Premium plan.

The deluxe plan sounds great but it is too much food for our family!! I think this would be great for yours!

I don't have answers to all of your questions, but here are a couple of key points.

#1- If you have APs (and everyone in the room must have the same ticket type) you no longer need to purchase the one day basic pass. AP holders are allowed to get the DDP this year.

#2- The Deluxe DDP gives you 3 meal credits/night (can be used as TS or CS) and 2 snack credits/night, plus 1 refillable mug for each person in your party.

#3- The basic DDP is approx $38/person/night and the Deluxe Plan is approx $70/person/night.

#4- Some people find the DDE is better than any Dining Plan- so work out all your plans and numbers with the different scenarios.

So the deluxe plan is an extra $32 per day, multiplied by 14 days = $448 more vs. just paying OOP for the 4 TS meals.

Thank you! I did not know that AP holders could get the DDP now. I am thinking with breakfast, it would probably come out to around $70 a day for each of us.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, I can call up reservations and tell them to change my current package to a "room only" reservation, but leave the dining plan on it because I'm getting AP's? Or would I need to buy the AP's first and then make the change?

I believe you would need to purchase the AP- they might ask for the Voucher numbers.
But I would call first and ask. You may be OK just showing them on check in.
