DDP @ DVC if not staying on points?

Am thinking of switching my CSR stay to OKW or SSR in early June. Will be using AP rates instead of points (but am a DVC member) - anyone know if I can use DDP without buying a package if I'm not staying on points? The thought of feeding a hungry 9 yo boy for $11 a day is tempting me to switch!!

If you book through DVC Member Services for a stay on points, you can add the DDP without the need for a package.

If you book a cash room at a DVC resort through Central Reservations, you can only get the DDP by purchasing a MYW package.

as long as you are staying at a DVC resort you can order the DDP. If you are not staying at a DVC resort you have to order a package to get DDP

It is my understanding that if you book a resort on an AP discounted rate, you cannot purchase the DDP.

I would give CRO and MS a call to inquire, but the ressie lies with CRO so I believe regular DDP rules apply.

Carol is correct. Annual Pass discounted rooms can not add the DDP, even at DVC resorts.

ANY cash night booked through Disney reservations, and not DVC Member Services, have to follow the package guidelines offered by Disney. That means it has to be part of a room/ticket/DDP travel package, and AP rooms are not packages.

Sorry, incorrect. You must make a reservation through MS to get the DDP without purchasing a package. Any reservations through CRO require a package to get DDP.

Thanks, all ! I think we'll stick with CSR if we can't get he DDP - DNeph has his heart set on trying out that pool and slide - was just thinking the meal plan works well for us on short trips.
