Ddp & crt ?

We have never used the dining plan before as we are very light eaters, have AP's so no need for tickets. Free Dining is corresponding with our AP expiration and we are giving it a try. We have a breakfast booked at CRT and it asked if I wanted to guarantee it with out DDP, I indicated yes and it was booked. Today, I noticed that my credit card was also charged for the entire meal.

I thought that only happened if you did not have DDP ? Before I call I wanted to make sure I was right.

Sometimes the online booking doesn't work correctly. Yes, if you had a dining plan when you booked, you should have only had to put down a credit card. If you did not have the dining plan when you booked, then you would be charged in full, even if you later switched to a dining plan.

Thanks, I will call as the DDP was booked prior to the CRT ADR.

I just booked CRT but right now I do not have the dining plan, might add it or even better hoping for free dining. I'd be interested in hearing if they credited your credit card. They should since it was there mistake.

I'm hoping if I do add the dining plan or get it free I to will get a credit are my credit card as well.

I am interested too. I booked CRT before I had any dining plan and credit card was charged in full. Now I have FD but I am afraid too call and have the DP applied to the ADR as there are no ADRs that day for CRT and I am afraid to lose the one I have. Silly?

Not silly at all - it is a genuine concern. The easiest way for a dining line CM to refund your credit card is to cancel the reservation and book a new one. Unfortunately, in the brief time between canceling and rebooking with the dining plan someone else could pick up the reservation and you would be left without one. What you need to do is make sure the CM understands you just want to modify the payment method. If the CM can't do it ask for a supervisor or hang up and call again to get a different CM.
