Ok we are using the buy 4/3 deal and may add the DDP. I was told by a CM that I can add it up to 3 days before we arrive does these seem right. I was also told it cost $39 per day per adult, is this correct? And lastly we have a 7 night reservation but have 8 day MYW tickets, can we purchase a 7 day meal plan or do we have to do the 8 day plan?

Yes you can purchase that late but you will want to make your dinning reservations so you get the times and dates of what you want. It's a great plan I do it every time I go. You can purchase a 7 day plan. Have a great trip.:yay:

The cost is actually $39.99 per night - not per day - per adult, and $10.99 per night for children.

The/any Dining Plan must be purchased for the entire length of your resort reservation, and everyone in your room must be on the same plan.

To be eligible, the Guest needs to have a Magic Your Way package.

Disney charges a fee to change your package reservation less than 45 days before arrival: $50 up to six days, $100 closer than six days. This fee may well be waived when Guests add components to, and so pay more money for, their visits.

However, there is a possibility (based on a few posts several months ago, plus a current one where this information was stated to the poster) that there is/will/may be a $10 fee charged to add the Dining Plan within a certain number of days of arrival.

Hi rkwctw...yes, what kaytieeldr said is correct about the price and that it is per night. I just called a few minutes ago to add the dining plan. We also booked the Buy4 Get3 promo. They charged me $10 to add the plan. On another thread I read info from a travel agent who was saying that the $10 was to send out new travel documents that would have all your new corrected info on it showing you have the dining plan. The up side to that was that it also included another set of the Arcade card, Planet Hollywood voucher, etc, that was in your first packet.

Now, you will have 7 "nights" of dining, but 8 days at WDW. The way we will space this out is by using a Table service on our day one for late lunch, and a Counter service on our last day for breakfast. All the days in between will be one Table service AND one Counter service. Hope this makes sense! :)

Oh, when I called to add it tonight, which is just under 2 weeks from our arrival, I had to pay for it in full. I would think this is because you have to have your package paid for in full 45 days before arrival. So have your credit card/debit card handy.

Have a wonderful vacation!

As antshelby said, you need to make ADRs.

If you are planning on getting the plan, I would actually make sure that you can make 7 table service ADRs (reservations) BEFORE you call to add the plan. B/c for example, if you can get only 4 ADRs that you want at this point, then it won't be cost effective to add the plan. If you can get your ressies, then call and add the plan to your packaged.

Yes!! I partly based my decision on whether to get the plan or not depending on how many table service reservations I made. I decided this trip that 1) it would be nice to get out of the heat and sit in the air conditioning and relax for a meal each day, 2) this is dh's first trip and I wanted to make it nice for him, 3) there were plenty of restaurants I wanted to try.

If you have not made reservations yet, definately call and see what you can get, then add the plan if you want to. Remember there is also the new Quick service plan and that could be an option too.

Thanks for all the info. We already have made our ADR's and we should save money by doing the DDP. I checked menu prices on what we all would order and we save about $10 per day per person.

I added the dining plan 34 days from our trip and was not charged the $10 fee.

I think you will be glad you ordered the DDP. It is just nice to go in and order off the menu without the stress of totaling up the bill. I love the freedom of telling my kids to order what they want! I agree with the other poster who said it is a great way to get out of the heat and enjoy some down time together. Have a great trip!!!

Does anyone know if you can use Canadian Debit card to pay the balance on your package? I just seen the post saying have cc or debit card ready, and was just wondering? thx

I doubt you can use a Canadian Debit Card to pay for your package. You will have to use a credit card for that. I have read on here that at WDW, Canadian debit cards do not work.
