Is the DDP a must for Christmas 12/21-12/27. I understand that TS prices go up a little at this time. Do all the resturants book up during this time or do they hold some back that can be made upon arrival?
Do the CS go up in price too?
We're a family of 4 adult for DDP pricing.

Opinions and suggestions, please?:santa:

We go at Christmas time as well. 12.15-12.26 and we don't get the ddp. It is just to much food for us, and staying at SOG you can't get it. I highly recommend getting all your adr's soon though! I already have all of ours! They DO book up, it will be crazy busy and you definitely want to be prepared;)! We love it at Christmas, but you've gotta have a plan. We leave the parks if it gets too crazy busy and go relax at the resort or go shopping:cloud9:

They go very quick. Most of the good restaurants are probally booked now. I would phone asap.

Hi,

Im there dec 14th to Dec 26th this year :cool1:

I am doing DDP *** for us I think its worth it, we like to go out for a meal every night and Hubby wont go without lunch or an ice cream each day!

I suppose it depend on your eating habits to whether you should get DDP or not, if you eat a sit down meal every day and lunch and like a snack then probably work out, providing you dont pick too many buffets as they are cheaper!

Even if you dont decide DDP I would get on the phone to Disney and make some ADR's for wherever you can, you will have little chance of getting walk up ADR's, its bad enough normally but at christmas

Enjoy whatever you choose!

We went New Years Day through Jan5 of this year, during the holiday pricing. The TS restaurants affected were the AYCE places, 'Ohana, Cape May, Chef Mickeys, Tusker House. If you have dinners booked there you can count on ~$16 added to your normal dinner cost. We added the dining Plan but as a PP stated, it's too much food! make your ADRs first and see what is available, then pull up the menus and add $16 to your total for each of the AYCE places and crunch the numbers.

Because of Holiday pricing, if you plan to do Character meals or Buffets, get the plan. For a family of 4 you'll pay about $12 extra to dine at those w/o the DP. Also keep in mind that your taxes are pre paid in the DP fee.

If your plans won't include too many of these meals then don't get the plan, but still make plans for any TS meals you'll eat there.
