DDP and tipping

Sorry, I'm sure this has been covered numerous times. I tried using the search tool but it wasn't working. I understand that the tip is not included in the DDP. I have a family of 4. Is the tip mandatory? I always tip but i would like the choice to give more or less (15 to 20%) depending on service as I would in any restaurant. Thank you

I was going to point you towards the tipping "sticky" thread, but I coudln't find it just now.

With 6 people and over, they insist you pay 18%, and it will be on the bill (part of the bill).

With any amount of people if you are using the DDE card (alone or along with DDP) it's the same situation.

With 4 people, not using a DDE card, it will not be "part" of the bill, it is simply a tip you add yourself (though I've heard they give you suggestions based on %).
