DDP and tipping - is it compulsory?

Hi
We will have free DDP (inc 1 TS per day) for the 3 of us in August, and notice it states
"Gratuities are not included unless otherwise indicated. An
automatic 18% gratuity charge will be added to your bill for parties
of 6 or more."
If its just the 3 of us, do we automatically get charged or no charge and we leave a tip we feel appropriate?
How does it work e.g. do we add tip to our onsite room charge key, cash, etc?

Yes it's up to you. The bill will give you ceratin suggestions, but it's entirely your choice. Cash, credit or room charge are all acceptable. They'll take your money any way they can get it.

There is an FAQ in the first post about common tipping questions which will answer your question about how to pay the tip. But the answer to the rest of it is, if you are a party of less than six and you are not using a TIW card, you will not be assessed an automatic tip but your receipt will show "suggested" tip amounts. There is no "automatic tip" based solely on use of the dining plan.
