DDP and room only

Is it possible to book a room only and still purchase the DDP? We've always stayed at a DVC resort before and been able to purchase it separately, but I wasn't sure about a regular room.

The CR agent I spoke to and my AAA angent told me that no, that is not possible. Or I would!

No, with regular room you would have to add at least a 1 day base ticket, therefore making it a package. You can always save that day for another trip or use it toward an AP or to renew an AP. This is what we did for our next trip, booked package with 1 day base tickets and will upgrade to AP's when we arrive.
