DDP and Room-Only Discounts?

I just wanted to check with the rest of you DDP mavens on this one. I did not think that you could add the DDP to a room-only discount and someone said that they were able to add it to a 40% off code last year. So, have the rules changed? I thought that the DDP only came as part of a package. Thanks everyone .

You can't add the DDP to a room only discount. However, you can take advantage of both the 40% discount and the DDP. You just change your reservation from a room only reservation to a package and tell them to add the tickets and the DDP. You get charged the regular price for the DDP and tickets. The 40% is factored into the package as a discount on the room portion of the package.

So, does it depend of the discount code? That some can be changed into packages? Or can all room-only discount codes be turned into packages now?

I was able to add DxDDP to my discounted room only package for May. It is a special offer for annual pass holders. Maybe that is what you heard about.

I know about the new AP packages. I guess I'm still confused about changing room-only reservations into packages while keeping the room discount.
