DDP and renting DVC points

My family is considering renting points (or trying to, anyway!) for a stay next January at the BCV. The only thing is that we definitely want to get the dining plan, and I was wondering how that would work.

You would simply tell the person you rent from that you would like to add the DDP to the reservation. It is for all the people on the reservation and for all the nights. You pay for it when you check in. If you are certain you want it you should mention that when you ask for the original reservation so you don't have to ask the DVC member to make a second call.

As mentioned, the owner will sign you up for the Dining Plan which you will pay for at check-in. However, since your reservation will be for Jan 2008, the Dining Plan cannot yet be requested until Disney announces that it will be available again in 2008.
