Hi I have some friends staying in a family cabin and on the ddp. As near as I can tell there is no way to use a quick service/counter service credit there. There seems to be no food court. 1. Is this correct? 2. How long does it take to get over to wilderness lodge if they wanted to use that food court?

When we stay at the camp we just take the little boat to the Contemporary an eat n the food court. My kids like to play in the game room there.

It is pretty quick to get to any of the resorts on the lake. We like Captain Cook's at the Poly and you can catch the fireworks on the beach if you are there at the right time. We were not too fond of the CS food at the Wilderness Lodge, but some do. You can always drive over to DTD and eat at the Earl of Sandwich, but that takes longer. We usually hit Earl on our last day there.

1- Yes
2- There is a nice, one mile trail from the settlement to WL. Takes maybe 10 minutes by bike (with kids) or about a 20-25 minute walk. There is also a bus that goes back and forth from the settlement area to WL. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for it.

Our family really liked the CS meals at Roaring Forks at WL. The pizza was good and they also had good soup, salads and sandwiches. The desserts that you get with your CS meal are REALLY big, so we shared and then brought the extra ones back to the motorhome for later. ;)

You can use counter services at the little snack bar at the meadows pool (the big one). It does close down at 5 pm or so. The have pizza (which was pretty much the same frozen kind I saw all over Disney) and usually 2 or 3 sandwiches to choose from. We did this 2 times while we were there this past June after swimming. Was really convenient since we were camping in the 1400 loop. There are picnic tables that are in the shade right by the snack bar! Probably better selection elsewhere, but its better than nothing!

Have fun!
