We'll be in the World in Feb 07' and I noticed that Beaches and Cream is considered "table service". What would be a appetizer? Are all the sundaes included for dessert? Would the milkshakes or smoothies be considered a beverage? Just a few questions to help sooth my DISNEY MADNESS!! :rotfl2:

When we were there a few weeks ago, there was no appetizer allowed on the DDP. You were allowed an entree and a dessert (pretty much anything but the Kitchen Sink). Milkshakes/Smoothies were considered a dessert and NOT a beverage. Some of the desserts are huge though, so you can easily have a large meal between entree and dessert.

Maybe not the most efficient use of the DDP, but still an enjoyable meal.

We were there in July, and at that time onion rings, chili, or salad was an appetizer. Not the best $ value for DDP, true, but who cares - the food and the sundaes make it worth it.

We did the appetizers, entree and dessert at Beaches and Cream. We used 3TS credits for 5 people. I paid cash for 2 extra drinks. They were very helpful and accomodating. There was more than enough food. Even my teenager couldn't finish his sundae. The plates are huge, as there are only three booths in the place, if you think that you will need the space, pick an off time.
You will have a great time.

Wonder if this is the new policy, or if it was the CM. I think I'll start a post to find out.

In Sept., the CM offered us a shake as drink, the next day a different CM said shakes were only dessert.

I have a feeling it may vary by CM. Ours was very specific when explaining the menu, yet around the same time, reviews were mentioned about getting appetizers on the DDP. There was still plenty of food, so it wasn't the end of the world ... but we may have gotten short-changed

I thought I remember reading that B&C allowed either soup or salad as appetizer (and that's all).

Along with The Plaza, I feel B&C is a little too inexpensive to make a good showing in terms of "worth it" for the Dining Plan credits it costs.
