DDP and AP??

I saw on another thread that AP holders can now get the DDP. How does this work? Can I get an AP discounted room with the DDP? We are going in early December, and I won't buy my AP until we get there. Do I need to have the AP before I book the package? Does everyone in my party need an AP to get the DDP?

Any info you can provide would be so helpful. Thanks in advance!
