We've decided to add the dining plan this year. We only did one character meal because we had a hard time mentally paying those prices out of pocket. We plan to utilize each TS credit for a character meal.

We are a party of 5 adults and 4 girls (8, 5, 4 & 1).

We will be in MK for 2 days, and the other three one day each with no park hoppers. We will be at the resort for 7 nights. We don't want to do breakfasts because my husband and his family don't really eat much for breakfast.

What character meals at resorts or parks do you consider "can't miss"? Which ones might be overrated or underrated?

This will be my 4th trip to Disney, my husband's and kids' second, but my in laws' first. It took a lot of convincing to get them to go and I want to make sure they have a wonderful, unforgettable experience. Thank you everyone for any suggestion!

How many credits do you have?

At AK we love Tusker House. Only been for breakfast but dinner has good reviews.

In MK, BOG is one of our fave dinners. It's not a character meal but the atmosphere is awesome and you get to meet Beast at the end. CRT is something I think everyone should do at least once but it is 2 credits.

1900 Parkfare in the GF is a lot of fun. Wouldn't say it's a favorite.

Akershus is a good princess meal, but we have only done breakfast.

We have for 7 nights, so 7 TS.

I think we have decided on CRT. Akerhus is the one that we did, we were thinking of skipping a character meal in Epcot because the Coral Reef looks very intriguing.

With Tuskerhouse, is there a concern that if the ROL package becomes available, they may drop character meals?

And, thank you for your advice too :flower1:

I don't think they'll drop the character meals. They do the F! Package with a character meal.

Garden Grill at Epcot is our very favourite character meal, hands down the best character interaction we've ever had. Our 2nd fave is Ohana, but that is breakfast which you aren't interested in.

My honourable mnetions go to Tusker House @ AK, Crystal Palace @ MK & 1900 Park Fare @ the Grand Floridian.

You may want to consider Cinderella's Royal Table, especially with 4 girls. I enjoyed the meal there, but will likely not be going back only because my 8 yo DS is anti-princess.

We have 4 daughters around the same ages (8, 8, 6, 1), and we always do Akerhus, it's much better(food and interaction) than CRT and only 1 credit. Also, 1900 park fare is a blast and my kids always love Crystal Palace certainly when they are little. And my other favorite is Garden Grill, except my kids never eat much there, even though my husband and I love it. Coral reef is horrible IMO. But it is cool if you sit buy the glass, but again my kids don't eat much because they are fascinated with the fish. Sea world has a similar Resturant that is so much better.

That's good to know, we are doing sea world this trip, maybe we should do that instead. I really enjoyed Akerhus the last time we went, but I figured CRT was something we should experience once, the older girls wanted to last time but we had already chosen Akerhus. Maybe we will do both.

Thank you!

[EDITED TO ADD] I don't think with our party size (8), we will be able to eat by the glass.
