I have read many posts here where people were able to use the DDE card at places not on the list. Just curious since I would never have thought to ask if we can use it anywhere that is not on the list

So which place have you used the Disney Dining experience card that was not on the list?

We have used the DDE for the Fantasmic Package at H&V once. Told no the first time...months later told yes. Strange, but it doesn't hurt to ask. They can just tell you no.

I'm not sure if it's on the list yet, but we used DDE at Raglan Road last month. We didn't ask if they took it; we just put it in with our bill.

We've used it at the GF Garden Tea....

It took $7 off of our bill!

On this trip alone (2/17 - 2/19 a.m.) we saved about $25.00

I guess you can tell that we renewed our DDE card.

I didn't get the spouse card, but I'd only used it once in the last year when DH forgot his card.

We used this on our 2/3-2/8 trip and saved bunch
CRT dinner
Cape May Clam Bake
Princess lunch in Norway
POP Food Court
Rose and Crown in Epcot
HDDR - late show
H&V buffet

I've used our DDE at every TS meal at the World. There are a few TS restaurants that don't accept it, but most do.

Ohana
Chef Mickey's
Cape May Breakfast
CRT
Garden Grill
Crystal Palace
Princess Breakfast (Norway)
ESPN Club
Beaches N Cream
Le Cellier
Kona Cafe

Our upcoming trip March 24th I plan on using it for:
Concourse Steakhouse
Ohana (Dinner)
Cape May Clam Bake
Spoodles (Breakfast)
ESPN Club
Boma
Beaches N Cream
Ohana (Character Breakfast)

Does the DDE card expire and does it activate when you "order" it or when it's activated, like an Annual Pass? We're going in September, and not doing the dining plan, so I'm considering buying the DDE card. I am buying an Annual Pass before this trip, too, so that's taken care of. Thanks for the help.

It does NOT work like an AP. It activates when you order it and is good for 13 months. So, if you are going in Sept, I would wait til Aug to order it.

I used my card for drinks at the lounge outside of 'Ohana on New Years Day. We then went into Kona to eat and were told we could not use it on the holiday. I knew the holiday rule, but that just shows it never hurts to ask.

Saved over $600 with family of 10 in 5 days last May.

Can you use the DDE card in conjunction with the DDP? Say you pay OOP for a meail at Beaches & Cream, can you use the DDE card to get 20% off? I know I can't combine the card with the dining plan. I'm trying to figure out if I go in January and use the dining plan, can I still get some benefit out of the DDE card on that trip?

Yes you can.
