DDE renewal question

I know you don't have to have a current AP to use the DDE card you just have to have one when you purchase it. My question is....how soon from your DDE expiration date can you renew it? My DDE card expires March 8 and my pass expires Feb. 8. Can I renew it before my pass expires???

Signing on this thread. Fascinating question that never occured to me. The last day for our current AP is Feb. 28 2008, my DDE expires March 31. We'll probably not get an AP next year but a DDE that carries into 2009 would be great.
