I'm confused. I thought the only way to get DDE was to call, and have it mailed to me. But now I read on All Ears that I can pick it up at Guest Relations at any park.

This is from All Ears;

MEMBERSHIP AND CARD INFORMATION: Call Disney Dining Experience office at (407) 566-5858, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern.

You can also visit Guest Relations at Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdrom, Disney's MGM Studios, or Downtown Disney to pick up a Disney Dining Experience Card.

BY MAIL: Disney's Dining Experience, Post Office Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

BY PHONE: (407) 566-5858.

NOTE: Allow several weeks for processing. Guests planning vacations in the next month should not order by phone but should plan to purchase their Disney Dining Experience card once they arrive at Walt Disney World.

So when I go on my trip, can I just go to any park, and sign up for the DDE, or do I have to call, and then just pick it up at a park. Also, since I'm arriving on a Sunday, does that mean I have to wait until the second day of my trip to order it?

I bought mine at DTD, took less than 5 minutes

Where did you get it at DTD, this is where I was planning on going upon my arrival, so that would be very convienant.

Any guest services location can now sell you a DDE on the spot. Note that it will take a few minutes to sell, and every guest services line I've ever been in has been slow - so plan on it taking a little time (if you get lucky and there isn't any line, you'll have EXTRA time!) You will need to be a Florida resident or have an Annual Pass.

Check the DTD map for the Guest Services location (it wasn't hard to find, but it did mean looking at a map).

This changed effective last winter....(I want to say November, because that's about where it is in my long list of notes, but it may have been a bit later than that.....I know by January it was happening).....so now you don't have to call and try to time your purchase so the DDE card lasts as long as your AP.....just pick it up at any Guest Services. We redeemed our AP vouchers and bought the DDE in one transaction at the Guest Services in DTD late on the night we arrived. So we were all set to go to our 8:05am Crystal Palace ADR the next morning without having to deal with any of the "paperwork" that early in the morning. It was a great way to start our trip, getting that precious AP and then wandering DTD.
