DDE Question

I'm thinking of upgrading at least one of our tickets to an AP because of DDE and the fact we're going in April and also thinking of going right before Christmas. We already have 7 day PH's that I bought at the Disney Store and I think I can upgrade to an AP once we get to WDW.

Our plane arrives Fri., March 31st at 1:45. If I upgrade as soon as we get to WDW, can I have the DDE that day? We have ADR's at Crystal Palace at 8:15 the next morning, and I would really like to have the DDE by then since there will be 7 of us in the group.

I don't know how it is now -- it use to be you could order the DDE in the morning and pick up a temporary DDE card outside of Epcot after 5:30pm that day.
It sounds like though you would really be pushing it based on your arrival time. It's always worth a shot. But I would say that is cutting it close. Someone here can probably give you the DDE phone number and you can call and ask.

You don't have to be an ap holder to get the DDE. You just pay $25.00 more.

You have to be an annual passholder or a Florida resident. There is no other way to get it and they will ask you for proof of either one. AP holders have to provide their pass number. Florida residents have to provide a FL driver license number or a FL state ID

You don't have to be an ap holder to get the DDE. You just pay $25.00 more.

They were doing it that way by mistake when the DDE first came out last year but that was changed. You have to be a Florida Resident or Annual Passholder.

I would call and ask tomorrow if that will work. It might be too tight of a time frame and the DDE office is only open M-F. So, if you don't get it then, you won't be able to call again until the following Monday.

Thanks, I guess I had better call and find out for sure. I didn't think that they would be closed on the weekend -- we'd be missing the discount on quite a few meals then if I can't pick it up on Friday.
