DDE question about using valet parking

For those of you with the DDE card and who use the free valet service, do you show them a receipt to prove you have eaten there? I was thinking it might be convenient to make a lunch PS but park in the morning to do a couple of hours. Occasionally, I make a PS too early and we miss it or too late and we end up eating beforehand. If I missed the PS and don't end up eating at the resort can I just pay the $6 valet fee after the fact? Thanks.

I've had the card for two years and have never used the valet service. Just bumping up for you..

We have used this at the GF and we just showed the valet desk our card. Had the receipt ready just in case though.

Thanks for the info! I think the valet option is going to pursuade me to get the DDE card. From what I've read on the other boards, they are holding cars back from getting into the parking lot until 15 minutes prior to opening making it hard to be at rope drop if staying offsite. (Or staying on site but prefer to drive as we do.) Valeting the car might be a good work around and with 20% off the bill the prices are reasonable.
