DDE purchase question

We are thinking of taking another trip in early November. Our AP will still be valid for the first 5 days of our 8 day trip. We intend to use up "leftover tickets" for the remaining 3 days.
Here's my question. Even though our AP will only run for 5 more days will we still be able to purchase a DDE card?
If we could use it for the whole vacation it would save a ton of money on food since we intend to do several signature restaurants.

Yes. As long as you have a valid AP in hand you may purchase a DDE Card. And it will still have the same validity (usually 12-13 months).
