I posted in another thread that I had gotten some e-mail updates from DDE regarding Wolfgang Pucks Cafe no longer honoring the discount (as of April 1, 2006). Several people then mentioned to me that they are DDE members and have never received any e-mails or notifications.

Well, in the past 2 days I've gotten 2 more e-mails announcing special events for DDE members at Epcot. One is an event over at the Land and the other at the UK pavillion. Both during the Flower & Garden festival... I know they will start taking ressies for these events April 18th, and the events are April 28 and May 6.

I briefly mention these here for DDE members that aren't getting the e-mails and might be in WDW during those dates and want to attend. If you are a DDE member and not getting the e-mails you might want to call them and make sure they have your current e-mail address (and have it correctly).

Wow thanks this is the first I have heard of it (didn't get my email)... I leave in a week and we do have plans to eat there... I guess I will have to put a limit on how many house martinis I will have. ;)

I have never received an email about DDE events. I will be at disney April 28th. Could you provide info on that event. Thank You, Susan

Thanks for providing this service. As I also am a DDE memeber and have never recieved emails.

Here's the e-mail regarding the Flower & Garden Event:

Hello Disney Dining Experience Members,

Join us for breakfast in the enchanting setting of the English courtyard. Eric Darden, the Epcot® Flower and Garden Manager, will divulge the secrets on “creating” the annual Epcot® Flower and Garden Festival and four Plein Air Artists have been invited uniquely for this event to capture the surrounding décor on their canvases for your enjoyment.

Dress for a day in the garden and don your favorite hat to participate in our “Splendorific Hat Contest”. A prize will be awarded to the most inspiring creation. Park admission is required to attend this event, Guest should enter through International Gateway and check-in at the Twinings Garden.

Thanks for this!! Near as I can recall, they never even requested my e-mail address when I called to get the DDE.

They didn't ask for my email address either. :confused3

I also got both emails. I thought, wow, this is something new. I thought I saw a link recently that said that people with the DDE need to register their email addresses, which I did. I guess no one else saw that message. I think it was on a recent piece of mail I received from DDE. I'll try to find it today.

Just like Minniegirl33 said, there was a postcard telling DDE members about the new policy. I believe it said they would NOT be mailing anything to our homes anymore and if we wanted to receive information there was an email address we had to go to to register. I can't find my postcard either, which is odd, since I save all Disney mail.

I have sent DDE my email but never gotten anything from them. Thanks so much for posting this! :thumbsup2

I believe when you get your card they include information to go to a site and provide your email. You have to opt in.

We received a postcard in the mail a little while back that stated DDE was updating/creating an email list & asked us to register our email addy if we wanted to receive updates to the DDE program.

Sorry, don't have the postcard anymore but I'm sure if you call DDE they could give it to you.

There is DDE web address on the back of my DDE card but when I enter it, it takes me to the main Disney page. There's nothing on there about DDE. I also checked in the passholder section of the Disney site and didn't see anything for email sign up there either.

I gave them my e-mail address when I called to sign-up for the plan. You may want to give them a call and get them to add your e-mail address, I don't think there is a DDE member website to update your info.
