DDE letter expires before I leave

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem.....

My DDE letter expires in 4 days and I leave in 14 days. I ordered my card on the 3rd of March and my credit card was charged on April 4th. I called and talked to Rosa, the same lady that signed me up and she said that my card was in the next batch to be mailed but the odds were I wouldn't receive it in time so she is going to send me another letter by mail which I'll need to present with a photo ID to receive the 20%.

Is anyone having to do this? I said I could stop by Epcot customer service to pick the letter up but she said she would just mail it..... Now all I have to do is hope I receive the letter before I leave.
 
check your letter again. The expiration date should be for next year [2006]

The card itself expires in 2006.. the letter I received expires in 4 days...

"This letter is to serve as validation that XXXXXXXXXXX are current members in good standing with the Disney’s Dining Experience. The membership is valid through April 30, 2006. Please extend the 20% discount and all other benefits associated with this membership. This letter is valid through April 30, 2005.

If you have any questions, or require further information, please contact me at the above number. Thank you for your cooperation."

As you can see, they letter says that it expires in 4 days...
 
You could also go to guest services and get the temporary cards that are now sent out instead of the emails???
 

I don't think there is such a thing as a temporary card.
If you don't receive your new letter before you leave I would contact Rosa and have a letter ready to be picked up at Epcot.

My card and letter expires after this Saturday. So I may be contacting Rosa on Friday myself.
 
Now you have me wondering what the temporary card, letter, whatever, is! :teeth:
Since I only have a few days remaining on my current card, and they are only open M-F, I think I will call tomorrow to check on my status and see what other info there is.
It very well could be I need to pick up something temporary this weekend! Most likely not though, as we already have paid for an after hours dinner at AK for Saturday. (A pin event) :goodvibes
 
We got our letter yesterday and it expires on June 12 - we leave on June 15 :rolleyes: Hopefully our cards will have no problem arriving in time.

I'm in pretty much the same boat. I ordered my card March 11 and got an e-mail saying the letter was valid until April 30 2005 and membership until April 30 2006. But my trip is May 9th and not only haven't I received my card but I don't think my cc has been charged yet either :confused3 I am calling tomorrow and hopefully can get this worked out. I was really looking forward to getting the discounts.

I contacted Rosa today. (Oh, if this woman had an idea how her name gets thrown about. ;) )
As she put it we "are on one of the next extracts to go out." :confused3 I have no idea what their extraction means, how often it is done, or when our cards will be mailed.
I opted to get a replacement letter for the e-mail letter I received over a month ago (since my letter and our cards expire May 1).
She said I could pick up my replacement letter after 5:30 today at Epcot. Most likely we won't be there until Saturday. But it is nice to have a back up in case our renewal cards do not arrive this week. At least I know as of today they are not in the mail. So I just know we will get them when we get them.
 
Well, it took a few tries to get through today, I would listen to the info about the card then when I pushed 1 as instructed to order, I kept getting a message that I couldn't be transfered at this time :confused3 Anyway, finally got through and spoke to Donna. She said my cc was charged Apr11, although I called and checked my purchases with my cc company today and it still is not listed? Donna said everything is in order but she thinks I won't get the card by May 9th so is sending a letter to Epcot. At least I know I'll be able to get the discounts this trip :)

That happened to me last year and she sent another letter with a later expiration. Unfortunately they send the cards from another location. My first set was lost, the 2nd set took forever and finally the 3rd set made it and the 2nd set showed up a week later.

None in time for our trip that was 2 months after I originally renewed them. She emailed me the letter with the later expiration date. I know they don't do this anymore but I'm sure if she drops one in the mail it'll only take a few days.

I'm sure Rosa is one busy gal!! Especially now since they opened the card up to all AP holders, hope they gave her a little help!!

Just ordered my DDE card this morning, we leave on May 9, I was instructed to go to EPCOT Guest Relations to get temporary cards. The regular card will be mailed and I will receive it in four to six weeks!!!

Bracho, those dates are really strange. I have the exact same letter as you but the dates on mine say membership is valid thriugh May 31, 2006 and letter is valid through June 30, 2005 thus giving me an extra 4 week buffer zone.
 
And I was told to go to Epcot Guest Relations before we go into the park.
Glad she mentioned that, as I would have gone inside expecting the pick up.
It is odd on the dates. It's like DDE is developing that split personality again. ;)
